The first artist residency in “The Singing of the Springs” cycle of artist residencies ended on June 29th in the village of Vermilhas, with the theme centered around the ancestral relationship between rural communities and vernacular forms of water management.

The artist residency ended with a traveling event around the village, where various presentations of artistic projects carried out over the last two weeks by Mila Panić, Christina Tsantekidou and Daniel Lercher took place, including three sound installations, a collective performance action and a photographic installation.

This event also had the collaboration of Cine Clube de Viseu, which presented two short films related to the theme of the artist residency: “Soft Water”, an animated short by Laura Gonçalves and Alexandra Ramires, and “Misericórdia”, a fiction short by Gonçalo Loureiro, filmed in the municipalities of Vouzela and Oliveira de Frades.
