Sound and visual expression workshops

Vouzela, Fataunços, Campia and Viladra
Integrated in the Sports and Cultural Holidays program of the Municipality of Vouzela.
Modern lives tend to limit children’s sensory contact with the world outside the home and school, which is a transformation from what happened until a few decades ago, especially outside big urban centers.
Therefore, it is important, from an early age, to re-awaken practices of recognition and of direct relationship with the infinite sensory stimuli present in any natural or outdoor space.
Sketch & Sound workshop, developed by Binaural Nodar in 2023, consists of a set of drifts through the space surrounding the schools where the Municipality of Vouzela’s Sports and Cultural Holidays Program takes place, with the aim of stimulating in children an understanding of the relationship between the sonic and the drawing universes, by relating, crossing and counterpointing them.
The final result will be a series of drawings and sound captures that will later be presented in the form of an audiovisual work, to be disseminated on various digital platforms.
