Starting from the surrounding landscapes of mountains, valleys, rivers and archaeological heritage, the aim of this residency was to create sound and visual bridges with heritage, using words, sounds and photographs of the places where we carried out artistic research. Valuing the arts, the people and the places, we mixed sound artists with performative and word artists, with the aim of establishing new sound and vocal memories, so that the region and all its cultural, environmental and social surroundings could be rethought. Are the sounds creators of new landscapes? Will the landscapes create new sounds? What is the function of the word for a landscape? Do words change landscapes? Do humans change with changing landscapes and heritage? Is my voice an asset? Does the line scratch landscapes in the air? Can one inscribe the painting in the landscape or does the landscape enter within the painting? Does our collective voice create a new sensitive heritage? What is the role of art in creating a sensitive personal map? It is in this questioning that we decided to capture the landscape, to better understand the sound of our dissonant and imperfect voices. With texts, sounds, images, we try to answer our questions and put new perspectives on heritage and its people.
