Happy
“Happy” it’s the name of a film project that pretends to build a place of recess and of reflection about the meaning of being together. Once the logic of the power lives through the control of transparencies and visibility, “Happy” pretends to create “apparition spaces”, in the public eye, through the creation of new and imaginary collectives, introducing the community as a sensitive phenomena, recuperating silent stories / relegated memory, assuming social frictions in order to give fresh perspectives and proposing to the public a relation that allows to reinvent their conduction and the idea of a work itself. The project will have as base a three day ateliê with the participation of six locals, whether they’re artists or not. The participants are going to set in motion an action/party that serves to reflect, learn, criticar and mock the premises that establish how the world, that we live in, works.
Somospeces, it’s a performing arts collective founded by Marta Alaiz and Alfredo Escapa, that focuses on the formation of spaces and the collaborative creation between the performers and the audience. The collective pretends to visualize and modify the uses of collective and individual bodies, proposing other ways of operating and connecting with each other. Their proposals have the purpose to generate spaces of soft, receptive and open resistance thatcan give birth to new realities. Alfredo Escapa and Marta Alaiz are film artists from León (Spain). Alfredo Escapa has abachelor in live arts and several masters like Oskar Gómez Mata, Espe López, Olga Mesa, Nilo Gallego, Sabine Dahendorf, Andrés Corchero, Martin Chaput, Esperanza Abad, Mª Mar Navarro, Andrés Hernández, Isabel Úbeda Puccini, Mas Soegeng, Arístides Vargas, Alicia Framis and Virginia Villaplana. He has worked with Nilo Gallego in “Ciegas con Pistola”, “Forado tempo”, “Pequeñas Nadas”, and “Grupo Sanguíneo”. Additionally with Silvia Zayas in ElMientras del Teatro; with L’Alakran in Psicodrama IV and Optimistic vs Pessimistic; and with Constanza Brnic in El Ejercicio de la Fuerza. In collaboration with Somospeces he has created the shows “Sabe Mentir la Boca” and “Las Ostras no Esperan a Nadie en el Fondo del Mar”; with La Tremolina Teatro he has created “Poesía Viva!!!”, “Poesía a la Luz de la Claraboya” and “L.P. Viaje al Corazón del Poeta”.
