Photo exhibition “Threats of the Mediterranean: conservation of the sea is in everyone’s hands” by Javier Murcia.
Inauguration May, 06th | Binaural Nodar Room (Vouzela)

Binaural Nodar is pleased to once again host an exhibition in the context of Insitu – Nature Photo Festival organized by the Municipality of Vouzela. This year, the Binaural Nodar Room will feature the exhibition “Threats of the Mediterranean: conservation of the sea is in everyone’s hands” by Javier Murcia.

The event, which reached its twelve editions, has as its main objective to promote natural heritage and biodiversity, while promoting a reflection on the importance of nature and environment conservation. With the Vouga Caramulo – Vouzela Local Natural Park as its stage, the festival is also an event that promotes tourism, combining the dissemination of its heritage and natural richness with the dynamisation of the local economy.

Daniel Santos, Miguel Serra, Rui Duarte, Pepe Brix, Tiago Magalhães, Luísa Pereira and João Rodrigues are the Portuguese photographers invited, as well as the Spaniard Javier Murcia and the Swede Magnus Lundborg.

In addition to the lectures by these photographers, this year’s program also features two indoor exhibitions: the exhibition “GENERG – Nature Photographer of the Year”, an exhibition that brings together the best images sent to the competition, on display at the Municipal Museum and the exhibition ” Mediterranean threats: conservation of the sea is in everyone’s hands” by Javier Murcia in the Binaural Nodar Room. Outside there will be two exhibitions: “Vouzela in close-up”, by Rui Silva, on Rua Comendador Correia de Oliveira and the collective exhibition “Endémico : Portuguese Sea” on display at Praça Morais de Carvalho.

The festival will once again be presented by Bárbara Pais, a nature communicator with work developed in European protected areas.

Binaural Nodar is a structure funded by the Portuguese Republic – Culture / General-Directorate for Arts.
