Poética en Supermercados
“Poética en Supermercados”, is an action project that proposes interaction with the audience through a poetic score, which will be given to the audience member/client of the supermarket as they step into the commercial grounds. The action pretends to incorporate the everyday elements and routine of a specific place, as an announcement between the people, shift changes and every other element that makes the place / space concrete and its routine.
Jorge Pascual is an actor and poet born in 1981, in Léon, with roots in the area of El Bierzo (Castilla Y Léon). He has published the poemary “Morir de Viento” (ed. Leteo 2001, Manual de Ultramarinos 2015). He’s also the author of “Me compras unas alas o me haces una fiesta”, with an honorable mention in the Eugénio de Nora Poetry Award (2006). Pascual participates, assiduously, in multidisciplinary projects such as the Free Jazz improvisation exercise “Jaula 13”, done in collaboration with Ildefonso Rodriguez, among others. Additionally he has also collaborated with La Pequeña Victoria Cen, on the poetic circus “Gigante”.
Mónica Jorquera is a cellist natural from León, with a bachel or in Fine Arts and a Master in Stamping Techniques, from the cities of Salamanca, Castellón and Madrid. Jorquera has participated in an immensity of creative, genre, illustration, chamber and gamba guitar music and improvisation courses, among others. Nowadays she teaches cello classes and participates in multidisciplinary events along with music and poets, similar to those she develops with Jorge Pascual.
