Binaural Nodar bases its intervention on a sense of everyday permanence in its rural region of Viseu Dão Lafões, which is why in the development of its research, creative and programming activities, priority has been given, both in terms of scale and in the methodologies for community interaction, to carrying out a vast constellation of interventions in dozens of villages with which gradual complicities have been developed over the years.

Despite this deeply local and rooted dimension, since the beginning of Binaural Nodar’s activities, special attention has also been given to promoting “inter-territorial dialogues” with other rural regions, the underlying concept being that cultural forms have traveled since the dawn of civilizations and so there are “hidden relationships” between rural places and communities, about which there isn’t much reflexion available.
