It is possible to affirm that the process of pure creation involves the production of an object from its foundation to the smallest details, by the hands of the creator.

The potter molds the elements according to his vision. Manufactures the object based on an imaginary memory of it, whether it is a useful object or a decorative one.

Since the emergence of plastic and the common sale of metal in everyday objects, ceramics has become a nostalgic and ornamental art. The potter starts to present himself as an artist instead of a craftsman. In this process of creation it is possible to identify the metaphysics of modeling natural forces such as: earth, water, air and fire.

The master molder looks for clay in watery lands, and then makes the earth and water come together, making clay. Once the piece is finished, the clay rests in a drying process, losing the air element. Finally, the fire encompasses and transforms the piece into something immutable, with its cooking. Tetra-elementality is present.

ALOMORFIA ELEMENTAR, was inspired by the construction cycle of a piece of Black Clay, with special attention to the natural elements mentioned above. Together, they form part of a set of progressive stages, represented in two pieces of wood with a symmetrical shape, but different textures, complete with the display of a sound component, focused on the elements of water, fire and air.

Any type of development in a project requires metamorphosis and evolution from the previous form to the next. As an artist, I intend to expose the inherent coexistence of the four natural elements present in the potter’s creation process, how they adapt and readapt according to the will of the master who dominates them.

The potter’s hands are forever marked in the clay as an archaic, unique and irreplicable signature. The texture in every detail of the piece, previously thought out or accidentally conceived, makes each result strictly unique and distinct from any sister piece. It is with a certain balancing act that the master achieves his idealized results. There is no process above another, but only inseparable and co-dependent phases.
