The fieldwork for Luis Costa’s new creative project, which expressively links two distant water flows, the Bisagno torrent in the province of Genoa and the Paiva river in the Portuguese region of Viseu Dão Lafões, has come to an end.
Through a multidisciplinary practice that uses sound, video, writing and the recomposition of found objects, the artist problematizes the concept of sense of place, extending it to the possibility of an encounter between distant geographical contexts but with possible links, both real and imagined.
The presentation of the provisional result of this artist residency will take place on Tuesday, December 17th at 7pm at Spazio Florìda.
This creative project is also part of the author’s research work as part of the Doctoral Program in Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro, the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and ESAD – School of Art and Design, in Caldas da Rainha.
