The coordinator of Binaural Nodar, Luís Costa, was invited to lead an open class, in the context of the Master’s Degree in Sound and Image Arts at the School of Arts and Design (ESAD), entitled “Dirty boots, digging into reality, expressing places”.
“Community, sustainability, solidarity, social responsibility, etc. How can we distinguish the wheat from the chaff, the technocratic and moralistic cloak from everyday necessity and responsibility? And in artistic creation, where areas such as site-specific art, public art and community art are both more popular and more unstable, what can we add from our empirical experience of hosting and producing art in rural contexts over the past 20?
To walk, to listen, to empathize, to doubt, to communicate boldly, to be prepared for the unexpected folds of reality, in its smallest details and in its deepest contradictions and complexities.”
Binaural Nodar is an organization supported by the Portuguese Republic – Culture | Directorate-General for the Arts.
