The coordinator of Binaural Nodar, Luís Costa, will be part of the program of Bairro Coral, a four-day event around the spoken and sung voice, which will take place between October 10 and 13 in Guimarães and includes concerts, talks, activities and performances, divided into various parts of the city.
On the first day, October 10, at 6:30 p.m., the Guimarães Youth Hostel will host a talk by Madalena Oliveira, Luís Costa, Humberto Martins and Álvaro Domingues, followed by a performance by João Neves and Pedro Branco.
On October 11, the Church of São Domingos will be the setting for the presentation of the Vilancico Choir, while the CAAA cultural space will host the performances of the COBRACORAL trio and the DJ set by Louve on the same day.
On the third day, the program visits unique spaces in Guimarães, such as the Convento das Dominicas, the Igreja de São Francisco, the Teatro Jordão and the Largo do Trovador, where the sharing is multiplied by various arts.
The Voice Workshop with Fátima Miranda, to be held at the José de Guimarães International Arts Center, will close the long-awaited third edition of Bairro Coral.
Since 2021, the Choral Quarter has promoted the concept of voices in dialogue, whether sung or spoken, as a privileged means of boosting the community’s interest in intercultural dialogue and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Bairro Coral is organized by the Outra Voz association and the Discos de Platão association.
