Final projects from the students of the Master in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro
Museum of Aveiro
From the 1st to the 11th of June 2023
Opening: Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 pm
Binaural Nodar is pleased to be associated, as a partner, with the “Intersectar” exhibition, which includes the final artistic projects from the students of the Master in Contemporary Artistic Creation, of the Department of Communication and Art, at the University of Aveiro.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 pm at the Museum of Aveiro, being the sixteenth edition of this event that celebrates the hard work of the master’s students throughout the school year. Since 2011, Binaural Nodar has been hosting an artist residency aimed at the students of the aforementioned master’s degree, in which their artistic projects are tested in a “work in progress” approach, in parallel with training in the use of soundscapes and sound art as interesting techniques for creative ideas, complementary to others techniques deepened within the scope of the master’s degree.
Understanding artistic practice in a comprehensive way, different media are explored in the artistic projects to be presented: from performance to sculpture/painting, from video to interactive installation and sound art.
The exhibition of student works produced in the Master in Contemporary Artistic Creation is based on the development of projects that aim to reinforce both students’ autonomy in the “doing” and a sense of awareness of the creative act – essential conditions of a successful artistic praxis. It also seeks to deepen knowledge, based on the substance of solid concepts, framing the matter, seeking to achieve a comprehensive understanding of artistic practice, with a transdisciplinary assumption that reveals itself in the intention to develop, apply and increase knowledge and reflection in the visual arts.
