Seminar for students of the Cultural Anthropology course from the Degree in Modern Languages

The coordinator of Binaural Nodar, Luís Costa, will give a seminar to students of the Cultural Anthropology course led by Prof. Dr. Gianfranco Spitilli, in the context of the degree in Modern Literature at the La Sapienza University in Rome.
The seminar will address the path of Binaural Nodar from its beginnings, with a special focus on themes that are linked to personal motivations and worldviews in the Portuguese rural territory of Viseu Dão Lafões, which embodied a model of work linking ethnographic research and contemporary artistic creation in the areas of sound and media arts.
The seminar will be illustrated with various sound and audiovisual artistic creations by artists hosted by Binaural Nodar over the 15 years of its program of artist residencies in rural context.
A thank you to Prof. Gianfranco Spitilli for the opportunity to share some of the experience of a project that, since 2006, researches and creatively expresses themes such as landscape, memory, work, beliefs and the senses of place embodied by rural communities.
