Throughout 2021 Binaural Nodar is collaborating with the Municipality of Castro Daire in a collection project on the municipality’s folk dance groups.
This project is entitled ‘Dancing with the root’ and will result in a retrospective exhibition and a book to be presented at the end of August and which aim to honor the passion for ethnographic, musical and choreological traditions existing in many villages of the municipality of Castro Daire and in the Castro Daire community in Lisbon.
A sincere thanks to the commitment and collaboration of all members of the dance groups who between March and May agreed to be interviewed and who provided a lot of documentation on the history of the respective folk dance groups.
