In April 2017, Binaural Nodar, the Folkloric Group of Carvalhal de Vermilhas (Municipality of Vouzela) and Companhia Erva Daninha lived beautiful moments at the premiere of the show “E-nxada”, a production with the São João National Theater (Porto) which reflected, through contemporary circus, sound anthropology and traditional singing, on the present relevance of manuality and other vital energies of the rural world.
In the context of the debut of this show, a video by Liliana Silva (Binaural/Nodar) was made, one that follows the journey of the traditional singing group of Carvalhal de Vermilhas from its rural village on the Caramulo mountain range to the centre of Porto (Carlos Alberto Theatre) for its participation in the closing of the premiere of “E-nxada”.
It is this video, titled “Uma enxada a caminho do Porto” (“A Hoe on the way to Porto”), which we have pleasure of sharing while greeting the good people of Erva Daninha and the Folkloric Group of Carvalhal de Vermilhas.
