Following the release of the book + DVD “The Sense of Pain: Two Works by Manuela Barile”, which includes artistic, anthropological and theological reflections on the works by Binaural/Nodar’s artistic director and which had a decisive financial support by the Office of Sacred Art of the Teramo-Atri Diocese, its director, father Filippo Lanci, invites Manuela Barile to an encounter with another young Italian artist, Leo Canali (Forli, Italy, 1992), who has also dedicated part of his creative attention to religious-based expressions, in his case iconographic and pictorial, within the context of contemporary video-art.
The session will include video screenings of works by both artists (“Cà” for Manuela Barile and “Lazzaro. 1” from Leo Canali), which will be commented by them Marialuisa De Santis (director of Museo d’arte dello Splendore) and Filippo Lanci (catholic priest, patrologist, artist and curator), being Federica De Lucia (conservator at Museo d’arte dello Splendore) the session’s moderator.
