Tramontana Network of cultural documentation from southern European mountain areas, which has the active participation of Binaural/Nodar, has just published its Internet site, which describes the various participating organizations, partners, actions, events and types of documentation produced under this project funded by the Culture Programme 2007-2013 of the European Union. The website takes the form of a memory archive from areas culturally diverse but related, inlcuding the Gralheira Mountain Range (Portugal), the valleys of Arno and Sieve (Tuscany , Italy), the mountains of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga (Abruzzo , Italy) and Central Pyrénées (Midi – Pyrénées, France) .
Binaural/Nodar carried out for about two years, more than 180 audiovisual documents in its territory (Gralheira mountain range, São Pedro do Sul) , including interviews with residents from over 20 villages, collections of sacred and profane events, of social and work occasions, soundscapes and visualscapes and media arts works, thus contributing to the conception of innovative research threads of documenting, communicating with rural communities and disseminating the project’s final results .
Besides Binaural/Nodar, form part of the Tramontana Network the following cultural organizations: Nosauts de Bigòrra, Numériculture Gascogne and Eth Ostau Comengés (all from France), Bambun, La Leggera and LEM Italia (all from Italy) .
