Binaural / Nodar’s educational project Sound Villages which consists in recording, editing and mapping the acoustic heritage of rural villages in parallel with its geographical, historical and socio-cultural survey, is, throughout 2012, giving its attention to intergenerational dialogue within the context of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity Between Generations. The first cycle of the initiative took place in the village of Canelas where students from the 4th grade (Class Can O2) of the local primary school made a set of sound recordings of conversations relating memories of their school and the school of their parents, grandparents or uncles/aujnts.
