Binaural Nodar, has signed a cooperation protocol with MoKS – Centre for Arts and Social Practice, a media arts residency located in Mooste, Estonia.
Both artist residency centers will start in 2008 a yearly exchange program for Portuguese and Estonian resident artists working on sound and media arts. Under this exchange program, on a yearly basis, each residency will select three artistic projects from local artists to be developed on the other party’s guest studio.
This exchange program is inspired by the desire to deepen the mutual understanding of artistic practices, to promote the internationalization of artistic projects originated from both countries and to strengthen the relations between both artist residencies, located on the geographical extremes of Europe but sharing a common approach of cross media artistic practices articulated with a specific social and geographical rural context.
