The MA in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro (Portugal) opens its EXPO2013 on May 31, 21h30, at the Museum of Aveiro, where a port-of-honor will be served. The exhibition presents the FINAL PROJECTS by students of the 2012/2013 master course. This is the sixth edition of this event, started in 2007. Understanding artistic practice in a comprehensive way, different media will be explored in this exhibition: performance, drawing/printmaking, video, interactive installation and sound art.

Binaural/Nodar is a partner of the Master in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro, annually welcoming since 2012 an artist residency/workshop on its rural territory, Gralheira Mountain Range (São Pedro do Sul municipality), where it deepens both concepts and methodologies for artistic practice in connection with communities and territories and for the sound as a specific expressive element. Some of the exhibited works from the students have a relationship with the field work carried out by between 4 and 7 April 2013 in a residency co-produced by Binaural/Nodar in the village of Macieira (civil parish of Sul, São Pedro do Sul, Portugal).

The EXPO2013 will be open at the Museum of Aveiro | Santa Joana between May 31 and June 9 (open between 10.00 and 17.30h).
